Paul M. Fedchak, FSA, MAAA, is a Milliman Principal and Practice Leader with more than two decades of experience advising life and annuity insurers and reinsurers on valuation, modeling, governance, and risk.  

Since 2016, he has led and delivered consulting engagements across U.S. and offshore markets, including Bermuda and Cayman, with a focus on model development and oversight for universal life (UL), variable universal life (VUL), indexed universal life (IUL), and annuity blocks. His work spans CP2-compliant model governance, climate risk frameworks, embedded value analysis, appraisal model builds, and cash flow testing support for multi-billion-dollar portfolios, including UL with secondary guarantees.  

Paul has served in multiple Appointed/Approved Actuary roles for U.S.-based fraternal insurers and captive reinsurers, as well as Cayman-based reinsurers with life and annuity business, including living benefits

He is also an active industry author and speaker on U.S. valuation topics, co-authoring the SOA research report Impact of VM-20 on Life Insurance Product Development and contributing to SOA PBR professional development e-courses.
