Karen Grote is a Managing Director at WTW with over 20 years of actuarial experience specializing in financial modeling, annuities, and pension risk transfer.  She advises insurers and reinsurers on complex initiatives including mergers and acquisitions, reinsurance transactions, product development, and actuarial model implementation. She has served as the appointed actuary for a New York-domiciled insurer, leading cash flow testing and signing actuarial memoranda and opinions. Her work includes actuarial modeling across multiple platforms for fixed, indexed, and group annuities, as well as model validation and assumption reviews supporting regulatory and transaction requirements. Karen has supported hundreds of PRT transactions and has helped insurers enter various annuity markets through product design, pricing, and model development.
