Ilene is an Audit partner in KPMG’s North East Insurance Practice, based out of the Hartford office. She has over 30 years of experience servicing insurance enterprises in the property casualty, life and health industries.  Ilene has supervised the audits, including the implementation of audits of internal control over financial reporting, initial public offerings, and due diligence for SEC registrants and large mutual insurance companies. In this role she has lead engagements with numerous participating teams across the world. Ilene also performs audits of captive insurance organizations.

Her present area of focus is property casualty companies as well as life insurers ranging in size from multinational SEC registrants and large mutual insurance companies to single parent captive insurance companies.  Ilene is experienced in auditing statutory financial statements in accordance with the NAIC rules.

Ilene serves as an instructor for KPMG’s national and local office training courses focusing on accounting and audit methodology, coordinates local insurance practice initiatives and is an SEC reviewing partner.
