Greg Mitchell is the current Chair of the Board of Directors of CIRCA, after serving as Vice Chair in 2024. Greg is the Chief Actuary of Aureum Reinsurance Company, a position he has held for 8 years since the inception of the company here in Cayman. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and is in his 40th year in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Most recently prior to this, Greg was Senior Vice President & Actuary for Guggenheim Insurance Services. In that role he was a senior leader in Guggenheim’s reinsurance activities and product development and management functions. Prior to that, Greg was Senior Vice President, Treasurer, and Chief Actuary of Lafayette Life, responsible for the company’s Actuarial, Accounting, and Treasury functions. In more than 25 years of service to the company, he held various positions related to product development, financial reporting, and reinsurance opportunity analysis and management. Additionally, Greg was Vice President, Product Development for Forethought Financial Services. Greg graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hanover College with a B.A. in Mathematics.
