Faramarz Romer is the Chief Financial Officer of Greenlight Capital Re, Ltd., a specialist property and casualty reinsurer headquartered in the Cayman Islands. Mr. Romer joined Greenlight Capital Re, Ltd in 2007 and has served in various roles including as Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer, and as Reporting and Compliance Officer. Before joining Greenlight Capital Re, he was a Senior Manager at KPMG. Mr. Romer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. Mr. Romer has served on the CIRCA board since its inception and is currently the Chair.
