Anthony McKelvy is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Northern Re, a Cayman Islands-domiciled collateralized reinsurance platform. Over the past decade, Anthony has operated at the intersection of traditional reinsurance and alternative capital, structuring more than $3 billion in transactions across (re)insurance companies and private capital markets.

Prior to founding Northern Re, Anthony moved to Boost Insurance, a premier MGA and technology infrastructure platform. As the 6th employee, Anthony was instrumental in building out the company’s reinsurance facility and business development function. He was also responsible for raising risk capital to support Boost’s growth, expanding additional facilities and participating markets. Boost was subsequently acquired by BHMS, a boutique private equity firm, in 2024.

Earlier in his career, Anthony spent time at two leading global reinsurance brokerages — Willis Re and Guy Carpenter — where he helped establish GC Access, Guy Carpenter’s industry-leading program reinsurance unit. These formative roles deepened his expertise in collateralized reinsurance and Insurance-Linked Securities across international markets.

Anthony is an approved director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. He holds a BA in Economics from Southern Methodist University.
